two days on two days off
#1
After two great days of big fish it has all shut down. for me anyway. Seen sharksugar yesterday he hooked into a 26"er. I was only a few yards away and couldn't get a nibble. after a few moves did get a 20"er to save me from a skunk.[inline DSCN3897.JPG] This morning I couldn't even find a 20 to save the day. sure was smokey. Seen the Tin Can on the river. So I thought I'd take a few shots of Forest and his boy. Hope you guys did better than me. Might give it a try this evening see if I can wash the stink off.

I caught a 28 incher after I moved to another spot that day fishing by you but it was a slow day for sure. Something has the fish turned off. Think I'm going to get the boat out and try to find out where they're hiding out at.

Hope you find um Sugar.
I didn't make it back out last night. all that smoke had me stuck in the house. I guess my poor lungs are already to full. really need to quit the cigarettes.

Wow John, how many days a year do you fish? The first couple of years after I retired I got in 110 to 120 days a year and it was a lot of work to keep that pace up, so I cut way back after that. I think I average 60 to 70 days a year now. Way to keep after those cats.

from spring to fall it be everyday and night if I'm not too tired.
no no no I'm not going to slow down. If there is water near I've got my rod out. about the only thing that has changed from my early years. Is that I don't get very far from the truck. So the long hikes into the woods to find that unknown pond are a thing of the past.

Good to see you yesterday and see you catch that cat.
I finished the day with 2 12 inchers and a 3.5 inch.
Lance got into some nice ones that I netted for him. 25, 27.5 and a 29.
No pictures and all returned to grow some more.

I do what the voices in my wife's head tell me to.
