FirstLight, Chick, Bass, CFF #6 - night (5/31/19), fchupaska
#1
Tough night for us to say the least. Only landed 2 fish the whole time, both of which were small keepers. I guess you could say we lived and died by my game plan. On the way to the first stop one of my favorite grass flats was wide open - no boats and I kept on trucking. Wish I had stopped to check it out now.

Started out offshore - nothing, then fished wood - nothing, then fished docks - nothing, at 11 hit a deepish rocky bank (15’) and boated our first fish, a 2.5lber on a jig. Had couple more bites in that area and one hook up but fish threw the jig. At 1am we moved to a flat that I found some grass on couple weeks ago and Frank put our 2nd fish and keep in the boat on a 10” worm. He jumped another one shortly after but it threw the hook. We had two or three more bites there, but could not connect. It was 1:45 at this point so we had to pack and go because we were a distance from CFP.

Still had a great time out there. Thanks to Frank for installing the black lights on my rig.

Congrats to Steven & Billy on the W, and all those that caught ‘em. Thanks to the committee for a well run event.

See y’all at RP in a couple weeks.
