I had a few hours before a birthday party on Sunday, so I decided to hit the lower Provo. I started pretty early, quarter after seven or so, and fished until just after 11. There was pretty good action the whole time. I hooked up with quite a few running a pheasant tail through the quicker pockets. I caught a couple of nice ones up against the bank with a hopper. I tricked a couple more to come up for an Adams. I didn't catch anything really big, the biggest was probably 14 in. But they were all pretty fiesty. Not a bad way to start the day.

When you say "Lower Provo," how low do you mean? Are you near the mouth of Provo Canyon or farther down closer to Utah Lake? I love finding good fishing spots right near subdivisions or shopping centers.

I mean just above the mouth of Provo Canyon. I haven't ever been any lower than that. I typically fish anywhere from the mouth up to the diversion dam. I find that there are some nice little stretches in that section that aren't too crowded.
