I am thinking about hitting Otter Creek Saturday. There were a few reports a couple weeks ago that the fish had shut down. Does anyone know if the fishing has picked back up?

When I was there a few weeks ago fishing had sloooowed way down.We got checked by the CO and he said out of everyone he checked we were the only ones with fish.I think its been hit hard with presure, also the edges might be a little soft with all of this warm weather we are having, they weresoft in a feew places a fw weeks ago when we had that week of mild weather just becareful and use common sence.Small tube jigs tipped with mealworm is what I used.Good luck!

We went on Dec 22 and on Jan 1st, 2nd. The ice was way sturdy so no worries there - at least 8 inches.

The fishing was great every time I fished it. In Dec, three of us caught over 30 fish. In Jan I caught 17 fish myself the first night in two hours, and the second day my dad and I caught 27 fish in 4 hours. The key has been a pink ice cutter on a orange jig head tipped with a meal worm. Use light line no thicker than 6lb and keep your jig within 8 ft of your hole. Most fish were biting 5-6 feet under the ice. We have fished 20 ft and 12 ft of water. Just be at least 12 ft of water and keep your jig just under the ice.

We fished the south side in December and the very North side in January.

Last Thursday it was steady, just fast enough to keep you interested. 10 inches of ice at least.
