Farley may not be the place you want to camp, the lake is low and Farley is or was muddy when I was there a week or so ago...If you can go to one of the cuts in Good Hope bay, more fish and camping spots...

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! Do you know if there is a launch in Good Hope, I only have a little boat and am trying to avoid the main lake as much as possible.

Yup, In my mind I am already there, my coworkers are telling me to just go already, cuz all I am doin is lookin at WW and any report I can find. I just bought a pack of batteries for just that reason, also taking the Video camera, so hopefully I get some good footage of alot of fish. We should hit the narrows when you get back, when is your bro going to be in town?

Yeah, we should hit it up for sure this year. At least before I deploy to Afgahnistan. I dont know if kochanut will be up this way this year. He will be at Powell for our trip than back to Colorado. We are fishing the Blue Mesa Tourney there in Colorado on the 16th 17th of May and then I believe he heads back to Gemany. He is suppose to be stationed back stateside (dont know where yet) by September.

Arrived at Powell at sunrise on Thursday set up camp in the back of Farleys and got on the water by 8:00 AM caught a couple small mouth at our first stop just past the launch. Started up the canyon to find some deeper points to fish and scout out a coupke spots for later scored a nice LM in the back of a cove. Well after stoping briefly at our next spot, I couldn't get the boat started![mad][crazy] Tried everything I could think of even cleaning out the carb. got towed back by some cool guys from AZ and spent the better half of that day trying to get the boat running after about a 12 pack and alot of cussing I gave it up. Fished for about a half hour at sunset with no luck.

The next day we took a couple hikes in the morning, I was too bummed to fish! Friday evening I did manage a couple more smallies.

Friday night woke up several times to my tent trying to take off with us in it, Wind was awlful, rain not so bad. Saturday the wife had enough of roughing it and we spent the remaning time at the Bullfrog resort relaxing.

I probably fished a total of 4 hours and caught some pretty nice fish, I am wishing I would have banked fished more, but all in all it was a great trip. I am trying to get back down there next month, once I get the boat going again.

Sorry TS for not taking more fish pictures, The smallies were not picture worthy[Image: sad.gif].

It seems the higher my expectations of a trip, the more $#@! happens, but hey it's part of life. I need a bigger and more reliable boat. Good luck to you the water temps in the back of Farleys was 58-60 degrees, You should be there just at the right time.

Good Fishin to ya!

Bummer on the boat man, sorry to hear that. That happened to me last year (starter solenoid went out), but I just rope started it for the rest of the time!!! No worries on the pix, any picture from down there is worthy of a pat on the back. Cant wait for my trip 17 more days!!!!!!!!!!
