Weber! aka the new provo
#1
Went up to the web last couple of nights and have done really well. We have been catching most on emergers but a surprising number on drys! In past years we have not done really well with drys no matter what the hatch or even how thick the specific hatch was. However, the fish seemed to be willing to come to the surface to feed. Landed a ton of fish, the biggest being a 21 inch toad which was caught on an emerger. Would love to spend more time on the weber, always done really well, but there are just too many damn people now a days!!! Even during the week i plan on running into at least a dozen cars while trying to find a spot to park, guess the word is out! P.S. check out the bad ass camera work by me while my buddy lands a nice little bow!

Popularity always comes and goes on the Weber. Most of the crowds are probably on the middle section! right? Because flows are controlled better for fishing and it is not that big of a stretch to pack all those people in. Farmers need the water so they blast the lower section makes it tough for the fly guys.Upper section has too much private land so it condenses the fisherman to the middle. After September they drop the water on the lower section. But then it tends to be too low. Middle of Winter you can still fish by yourself.

[indent]there has been a ton of pressure on the weber lately, but it seems counterproductive to complain about how many people are fishing it, and then at the same time put up a report on the internet saying how good the fishing is...?

I just think he means it's just hard to fish the stretch you wanna fish when someone else is always there. I was up there with him and I have never seen that many people there on a week night. still with all that pressure you can have a double digit day there.
