Whatta Party!!!!!!
#1
Couldn't have asked for better weather or better ice conditions or better company. Got to meet up with some real die hard ice fishermen. Blasted off at 6:30 for the 2.7 mile treck into Saleratus Wash. Lot's of fish on the fish finders and flashers, and the tube dude factor kicked in. Just teasing. They started the day with lock jaw. Let's Fish managed to bring one up to get things started. Not long after, the WetOne got a wee wet one. Nice 21 inch Walleye. Then a nice 13 inch Jumbo was caught by Lund's buddy (sorry about forgetting the name[:/]). Then the fisherman of the day showed up with a 13 inch plus Jumbo Perch. That would be FOD. He took first place and won a pack of tube dude's jigs. Second place went to Lund's buddy and he won an ice fishing pole rigged and ready with a maniac cutter bug on it. Let's fish continued to pound the 4 inchers. Found himself to the top of the board with the most caught, twenty plus. He won for himself a six pack of jigs. The last six pack of jigs went to the only one who caught Walleye. Well done WetOne. I want to thank everybody for coming and thank you for your friendship. We will have to do it again. Maybe next time the fish will participate a little better. Dam fish. Here's some pic's to enjoy.

Well I must say to start THANK YOU PIKEMAN for getting everybody together today, your one hell of a nice guy. Glad to been able to get out with you and all the others out today.

Gottabite, I cant thank you enough for dragging me around behind your 4-wheeler and letting me and the pups tag along with you and your lovely lady. I owe you one I had a great time getting to know you guys today and last nigh. Good times.

Great to meet all the other BFTrs that came I hope to see you again in the future.

CONGRATS to WET1, I would trade my largest perch ever that I caught today for your first iced walleye any day of the week. Way to go buddy. I was more excited to see that walleye than anything else today....... even though those perch were cool. You beat my biggest on the ice and of this year so far .......so to me your FOD today...lol

I told PIKEMAN I would post some of my pics of todays shindig. Most of the pics I got were very similar to PIKEMANS that he already posted so sorry for mainly posting my dogs.....lol I thought I took more pics than what I got.[crazy]

Thanks again

Scott .... you're MORE than welcome! I would do it in a NEW YORK SECOND next time too. Them dogs sleeping yet?lol They put on 50 miles in two days I bet!!
That was a GREAT TIME, THANK YOU Pikeman for doing what you did!! I feel I can speak for everyone there...THAT WAS A BLAST!!
I've had 3 showers trying to wash off THE SKUNK tho'!! Two days with NOTHING!! [fishin]DANG IT I KNOW I CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!! I know Starv better than that, just not in the winter, I guess! Ya learn something NEW every day! Couldn't even get the DINKS to bite, even tho' I watched 'em on TV!! Still don't know why that walleye cruised right by my stuff!![Image: bobmad.gif] That's what I wanted, more than perch.
Everyone wanted to know how big it was, but it's hard to tell on TV. I still say it was bigger than a perch tho'.[Image: bobwink.gif]
I had a fun time getting to know all of you better. Kaye sez "Hi" to all of ya and now knows why I hang on here all the time. She was VERY happy to get to meet new people while fishing. She wants to do that again soon. She loves that lake. Oh, and FOD (Scott) we DID catch a fish after you left!!LOL [Image: surprised.gif] Just like you said! I hooked a slimey JUST BEFORE WE LEFT... and I "shared" with Kaye so "WE" caught one finally! Didn't get a pic tho' to prove it, before we let it back in to feed some lucky walleye. NO...Walleye do NOT eat trout...just kidding!
Next time there needs to be a "booby" prize for the ones that have to remove skunk.[:p] Say a stuffed skunk[crazy]
THANK YOU PIKEMAN, and to all of you FINE FOLKS that showed up, to show me up!! I'll get over it someday![Image: scaredworried.gif]
No...really... THAT WAS THE BEST TIME I'VE HAD SINCE THE DAV EVENT!! BFT'ers ARE THE BEST!! Kind, courteous, and willing to help with anything!
All the pics I have are the same ones that Pikeman had, cuz the girl that took his took mine too. So.....
Scott, that pic of your dogs running behind the sled is a CLASSIC!! I'm gunna remember that for a LONG time! 2 of the best dogs I've seen in a big group like that. (except for Drake eating on that week old stinky fish!) THAT WAS GREAT! He gave it up quite easy tho'...I don't think he really wanted to eat it after he got it, but was to embarassed to drop it![blush]
GREAT TIME!!WANNA DO IT AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND??!![fishin]
Thanks again to ALL of you!!

It was great meeting all of you, some for the first time, others I've met enough times to actually remember their names (Kelly[:p])... Even before Mr. Wally showed up I was really enjoying myself... Look forward to seeing some of you on the hard deck again soon.
Pikeman, you are one hell'uva nice guy. I really have appreciated the fishing we've done as well as the phone converstations. You're one of the most gracious and generous people I've ever known Thank you so much for putting this together and taking pitty on me last week enough to give me a ride out so I wouldn't have to hike. I know we'll be doing more fishing together in the future as I really enjoy fishing with you.
TD, a special thanks to you as well. That was really nice of you to donate some of your hand painted jigs. They are truly works of art, so much so I'm contemplating framing them instead of fishing with them![Wink] Too bad you couldn't make it today. We'll definately have to get together for a soft water outing this year.

Great People, Weather, and a great trip. [fishin]

The Pikeman99 Peach party was ....... A Blast. [Smile]

Got to meet some super folks and gotta to see a walleye caught through the ice at like 10 a.m. - Healthy fish!!

Fishing was a little slow but would not have traded today for any ice trip this year... especially the one when we battled the Berry Slush Monster...

Thanks Again Pikeman99 - Hope to see FOD, Wet1, and you on Starvation during the soft water time of the year.

Way to go guys! Kind of makes me want to take up ice fishing again if not for the fishing but for some great company.
I won't get to do any fishing for about 2 or 3 weeks until I get the house moved over to Wyo. [unimpressed] But then "WATCH OUT" [cool]
Nice eye Todd but your going to have to do better than that when we get to Wisconsin if you want to bring home some $$$$ [Wink]

If it's not a walleye don't put the net in the water

[quote PIKEMAN99]Hey did any of you guys find a shaker of salt? [Wink][/quote]
Actully I found 2 BIG shakers of sea salt setting on my ATV trailer. Were we visited by the Salt Lake City Easter Bunny? Wondering where they came from and how many GALLONS of tequilla it was gunna take to make those disappear! Was wondering if that was my "booby" prize. Are they yours Pikeman?? Want 'em back? Seems like I got the same kinda shaker of salt at the DAV event, but wasn't sure.

Yes I shared with a few shakers of salt. Hope you guys enjoy it. It is the real salt it is NOT from Salt Lake it is from the country. It does not have chemicals. It is all natural with trace minerals. Hey and it IS better for you. Hope you enjoy. I like to share a little. Thanks for all them nice comments guys we do need to get together more often.

I will vouch for the salt -- not sure if it is possible to love salt, but if it is I love it.

DOh ......I forgot to thank tube dude for the Jigs. Thanks tubedude, I will try them out this spring out at the vation. Might run into you as well.[fishon]

Maybe one more shot at the ice this year and I will call it good there. It might be a little bit different this year with the ice conditions that have only gotten thicker with time...
