it the time of year again that i just love to hunt big tigers. (trout) just went to one of my favrite tigers holes today.. started out fishing bait and was doing great on the bait.. so great that we ran out of bait fast but caught about 20 fish and had 2 nice ones brake us off close to shoure..
so after running out of bait i put one of coldfooter's costom spook's on and started casting the shoure line.. was not long and something just hammered my jig.. after a great fight i pulled in a 24 inch 5 lb tiger.. so now i know it's big tiger hunting time.. i'll be putting some time in for the next 3 or 4 week hunting tigers.. [sly].
here are the pic's..
the 4 lb bow was hodie9 (Kile's) fish and he lost one that was a lot bigger then that one.. nice to meet ya Kile let's get together and do it again! [sly]

Nice work Ron!! Big fish! Most would say that Tiger was like 7 pounds but 5 seems just right, maybe even a little low. Good on ya man!

I took a quick look to see if by chance you were hitting Gunnison Monday afternoon while we were sighting in a new rifle. Looks like your spot on it has been moving south. That is a nice fish though.

Thanks again Ron for a great time. It was great to finally meet you and even better to get into those big fish.
That picture would have looked even better if we had both landed those bigguns that broke us off at our feet.
I'm now on the tiger hunt as well so let me know when you want to go again.
STEVO - There are some decent tigers in Currant Creek just not as big as Ron's. I caught about a dozen last Sunday all around the 18" mark. They're getting there. Just a little more time.
