A Berry Tough Day
#1
I fished the Berry yesterday near the marina in an about eight hours of fishing I came up empty. My buddy I was fishing with managed four. We were fishing in anywhere from 16-35 FOW using mostly pearl tubes but I threw the whole tackle box at them. I guess that is just how the Berry is some days. I'm going to go tomorrow to redeem myself. Where is my best chance on getting some fish at the moment. I heard Soldier Creek was fishing decent as well as the lesser fished parts of Strawberry. Any other places or other reservoirs you think would produce. Any info is much appreciated. I will post a report on my journey, hopefully I can get on the fish and post some good pics. Please feel free to PM. Cheers.

Wife and I fished north of haws point this morning in 25 fow.The cuts and one rainbow were right on the bottom. Landed 7 in 3 hours. Early on they hit on most anything. By 9 the only thing they wanted that we tried was a small glow tube, hanging vertical with minnow pieces. Fish would come up three feet off the bottom to inspect offerings. Keep your bait close to the bottom.

there were lots of machines crossing the ice. I went directly south from the marina to haws point and hit a few patches of slush but nothing too bad. had to cross 3 or 4 pressure ridged but nothing significant and all were quite solid. Ice was about 8 inches (didn't measure)

The ice was 10 inches at Renegade 2 weeks ago and I did measure.
