I was just wondering if any orchard been out to electric lake lately. I know you need a snowmobile to access the North end, but was just wondering if anyone has fished the dam area lately, and what would be good to use. Thanks in advance.

lol ok quite all right.. i have been there, sooooo many times my self.. if you go get some red side shiners.. they have been doing best. on a 1 to 2 inch pearl tube jig.. find 15 to 25 feet of water if ya go off the dam go to the east side and hug the bank..
good luck and have fun..

Okay fuzzy, how do you rig red side shiners? Do you cut them, or use them whole? Head or tail? Does it make a difference how you rig them? I am familliar with using perch, chub or sucker chunks to tip a tube jig, but can't quite get the idea of red side shiners. They seem too big to use whole. Thanks

well if they are small i use them whole.. i run the hook through the eyes if they are bigger then i cut them in half and again run the hook through the eyes on the head end on the tail end i cut the tail fin part off and run the hook through the small part of the tail.. if you dont cut the tail fin part off it can get fouled on the hook and keep ya from hooking up..
