After a long and foggy drive this morning, got on Magic about 8:00. Surprised how much snow they have over there. Was very slushy where we fished. As you would drill your holes the weight of the snow on the ice would cause your holes to overflow and make it even sloppier. There is five inches of good clear ice under the slop. I started out in about 16 feet of water. My first let down I kept letting out line before I realized, hey I have to have let out about 30 feet of line, set the hook sleepyhead. Was fishing two jigs and he had both jigs in his mouth, had never seen that before. Action was steady all day and we bonked a bunch of bows for the barbe. No sign of perch where I was fishing, that was a little bit but the trout action made up for it. Our smallest fish was 17 inches and many ranged up to 20, all in all a great day on the ice. Here are a few pictures.
