I hear the good sturgeon is above peg leg but running up it is to much of a risk/stupid. Looking at google earth its hard to tell if that's a ramp on the north side or just a cut. It's a 20' jet and doesn't draft much, only need a few feet to get it on and off. Other option is to fish king hill up to peg leg.

I saw guys launch at the cabin hole, but that is below peg leg and the road sucks. Peg leg isn't to bad with the low flow. Lots of fish around the mouth of clover creek and the railroad hole. I have a two bass tournament at brownlee or I'd show you. I've caught 7 ftrs under the interstate bridge, keep in mind the state record sqauw fish is around 26 inches. Maybe?

I ran up to peg leg a couple weeks ago. Only one boat ran past peg leg. Peg Leg was nasty with the low flow.
Castle rock is the only rapid you should worry about. Water was pretty low when I went.
There were quite a few people sturgeon fishing alone the river so I'm sure they are out there. The squawfish are abundant if you need bait.

More of an access than a ramp. I have always wanted to do the same thing. If they are really rollingwater through there it would be possible, but if they shut down a turbine that shallow section in G Earth is dry land.
There are monsters in that section though. Tough to shore fish it from "The Ramp" because its a straight drop off and you line hangs off an underwater cliff and destroys it.
I rowed accross in a pontoon (before I had a jet) because the other side is more fishable and hooked into a cow. Only saw its head breach and about pooped myself. I have never seen a sturgeon with a head that big, and I have been fishing for the toothless all my life! Anyways.. he broke off. I then walked up to the spill way and landed an 8footer up there.
Only did it once though... moved up North for College shortly after that.
