The water temperature is warm and the fish are stacking up in the springs . We are catching them on marshmallows and nightcrawler sitting still .

It looks like grandpas fishing guide service got it done again. You sure have that place figured out. For me that will probably be an annual fishing trip that I am already looking forward to for next year. Thanks for all the great posts on IP.

Curt how do they taste? They usually start tasting like moss by the middle of July. Limit should go to two fish as most of the fish are wasted from here on out.

They taste great . I have never caught a mossy tasting fish out of Island Park Resivior . Now Henry's is a different Story . It should be closed to fishing in August . Alot of the fish released , when the water temperature is over 80 degrees don't live because of the stress it puts on them .

They taste great . The lake is deep in several spots , with creeks , springs , and the river running into it . It keeps the water cooler and oxygenated .

I am booked up on weekends or would take you out on my boat . If you want to catch fish from the bank . I would go to Sand Creek Ponds . Camping is free and I have friends that have been doing good on pond 4 . Just use a worm about 4 to 5 feet under a bobber . There are bathrooms but no water .

Anywhere from 6 " to 8 pounds . They average 2 pounds . If they just planted it there could be a bunch of small ones to weed through .
