Has anyone hit the hard deck on the Wyoming side? Just trying to decide between the buckboard or firehole areas. Any input would be appreciated!

We fished Buckboard on Friday. The bays had 5" of good clear ice. The main channel just capped last week, so it's likely good for foot traffic but no machinery...unless you carry brass cahones and a good life insurance policy. 😉
There's also a new Denali in the lake at Buckboard. If you're hunting burbot maybe it qualifies as "underwater structure." [signature]

On Friday a guy was scouting for a burbot hole from the cliffs around Buckboard. His truck started sliding down the cliff and he bailed. It rolled off the cliff into the reservoir. I talked with Sweetwater deputy who thought it would likely be there until spring because of the icy slope and the low chance they could get a crane in there.
