Salt River Catfishing
#1
Fished the Lower Salt River near the Granite Reef Dam for a few hours tonight. Pretty slow, didn't even get a nibble. I did see a Javelina on the way out back to my truck. Got within 10 feet of him. Tried to get a picture but it didn't come out. Has anyone out there had any luck fishing the Lower Salt? I'm gonna try and learn it a little bit this summer.

Thanks for posting your report JB77, what kind of fish are in the Salt River?

No problem WH2. I'd really like to see this state site take off a little. At least to have someone on here to chat with. They stock the Salt with trout but I was mainly after cats. I've caught channels in there but I hear there are also flatheads. I'm sure there are largies and panfish too. I'm gonna make it my goal this summer to do some more after work fishing there. My wife's a nurse at night and my kids are all busy with work and friends and all the things they are to cool to do with dad anymore. So I have lots of free time. So I'll keep in posting whenever I go. So hopefully I'll at least see you on here 🤗
