Despite the rain we thought we'd give it a try. My work schedule docent give me much time to fish and I haven't got to take dad fishing much this year so we put on rain gear and went after em. Glad we did! We had 30 of the best crappie we have caught in a very long time. 11 to 16 inches with the majority in the 12 to 14 inch range. We fished main channel docks in 3 to 14 few. Tried to force feed em jigs but they were slow to take it. A slip float and minnow fished 4 to 6 feet was the ticket. The wind was up so we never tried to fish brush or lay downs, seemed like they were right against dock poles. We got wet, boats soaked but it was a great trip, and always blessed to fish with my dad!
