Ok everyone I'm posting this so that you'll all be aware of what's in store for all watercraft at Twin Lakes this year regarding quagga mussels.

This was on Facebook a while back.
Twin Lakes Canal Co. Has contracted with Coombs Bait & Tackle again to provide an inspection station for all watercraft. Beginning May 1, 2018 we will begin allowing watercraft on Twin Lakes. The following types of watercraft are not allowed at twin lakes: any boat which is equipped with any ballast tank or ballast bags. No ballast boats will be allowed on the water due to the fact we cannot inspect ballasts.

Beginning May 1 our hours of operation will be from 7am to 7pm. All watercraft must stop at the inspection station.
All motorized watercraft must have an inspection.

There will be a verification fee like last year and to ensure fairness to everyone the pricing is as follows:
All motorized watercraft $15

Paddleboards, kayaks, float tubes, pontoon boats, canoes, etc. $5

Group rate $35 for 3 or more boats.

In June and July we will extend our hours from 630 am to 830 pm
