Lincoln today 6-25

Fished Lincoln today. Arrived just before daylight and noticed a couple of lights out on the end of south dike -- a couple of guys probably fishing all night.

Calm water and obviously lower water level in the channel; it has been about 3.5 feet for the past few days... bouncing around 3 foot depth today. Noticed a couple of beavers lounging in the channel??

Fished BS bay first and picked up a few while dragging carp meat and wb. Moved over to first spring and got lots of action. Got to meet Clint from down San Pete way and it was good to talk to him. Had a g-son? with him and they were doing very well. Last check with them they had 10+ fish with one 8 pounder.

The sun drove me off by 10:00-ish but i managed to catch a bunch. Best three were two at 27 and one 28... all ugly and beat up males.

Next time for sure.

I got up early to head out there by sunrise, but stuff kept happening and I got there after you had left. I was after some white bass that we can use tonight. I got one 6"er and a bullhead.

It looks like you are tied with TD for 6th place, but any day you'll put up a 30+. Tells you how far along we are when a 28 doesn't even make the top ten.

[#0000FF]I had to flip a coin to see whether I was going north or south this morning. Willard won, mainly because I needed some more kitty fillets for an upcoming family fish fry. The whiskery denizens of Willard are not as big as those in UL, but they sure eat good.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]I will probably not get back on the water for a week or two. Lotsa family stuff and some annual medical things to get outta the way. Oh well, that will give the bigguns more time to grow bigger...if you don't go molesting them before I get there.

Was great to see you again and chat awhile. It was my g. Son . I say was because I might disown him for doubling me up. We got 17 cats and 3 wb. Biggest was about 8 lbs like you said. The gs said his new favorite sound is the line spinning off the reel. Loved catching kitties. Thanks for the info and help today. Oh I broke off two that were REAL FISH. one on 6# line and one on 8# line. The latter hit bendo, snap. Would like to have seen him.
