Has anyone done any trapping for Crawdads at CJ Strike or other bodies of water? If so, would you offer me some advice as where to go, what bait, etc.? My daughter recently built a trap and wanted me to take her out somewhere but I have never done this so as much advice as you can provide would be appreciated.

CJ has some of the largest mudbugs in the nation. you really need a boat to target the rocky outcrops, which are a trap catcher!!!! I've lost a couple traps stuck in the rocks. you can pitch some traps from shore, but you have to find the right spot. stop in the local Y bar café and ask Dick where to go. there's always a lot of traps in the narrows, you need to be around 20' deep
