After several trips out and getting skunked from shore. Got my daughters for the summer and made a quick trip over by the bird refuge and my youngest caught the only one a 28" channel. Made me kind of jealous as I sure could of used it for the contest. But after the 4th I finally finished up some work on our boat and got it ready for the first trip out this year. Went out Friday and Saturday night to a really good spot we found last year. Caught 7 Friday night. My oldest had the biggest at 25.5". Went back out Saturday tried another spot a little further away with some deeper water and after an hour with no bites decided to move back to our other spot and landed another 6 with me catching the biggest at 28.5"

Way to persevere and not get shown up. Way to show who’s boss lol. Good for you daughter on catching a nice fish and setting the standard.
