HEADLINES: September 10, 2018:

[ul][li]JC laughed as he heard Chris complaining about the Fishboy. Fishboy supposedly put out a challenge to Chris and Fishboy was giggling like a schoolgirl that Chris never answered his challenge. [/li][li] [/li][li]JC said:look Chris you two worms fight it out as I have better things to do. JC said to Chris! Come on lets get to the dock we have business to take care of! They jumped into JC,s 64 Rambler and headed for the dock in Cabo which JC runs with an iron first. They call him on the dock JC the MAD MAN MARLIN MANIAC a name that has stuck throughout the years. Others on the dock call him Daffy, Gerald, Marie Osmand, Carl "the Catfish Coward" Crawford, Stan the Salmon Slaughter Slovanicvich, Judy Jane the Jew Fish Jackonavich, Bobby "Butterfly Bass Buster" Blackachovich, Boy George, Tiny Tim and a few other names we cant mention.[/li][/ul]
With all this being said JC and Chris arrived at the docks in Cabo and JC spotted the Yacht bottom cleaner Buddy "the Bottom Backstreet Boy" Bosniach and JC said he had written a new song for him. JC said hey Backstreet Boy you like to hear my little tune? Here it is " We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean? We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean, We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean, We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean, We do bottoms day or night , we do bottoms right, let us wipe you clean.
Chris was screaming he loved that song, and Backstreet Boy didnt know what to say, besides, thanks JC that was nice? JC an Chris went down the dock laughing and making a joke of Backstreet Boy and JC turned to Chris and said that Jackalope actually thinks I like him. Chris said old Backstreet Boy is a real DUD. JC said yea he sure is, that PEON is nothing compared to us. JC screamed: All workers on this dock gather around I have some words to say to you low lifes. First off: You know who I am and you all know my second in command Chris. Even know I know its September but I want to wish you all a merry christmas and secondly listen clearly because I want to say some things to you all. Yes, I did win the MMM election and I represent Mexico and the USA and I want you to to listen now.JC barked: Yes, it did start in Alaska where I took advantage of the Gill Net Laws, and yes I did walk through dead fish carcasus that I murdered on behalf of the local Eskimo tribe in which I am cheif. Please dont interupt me! I want to say that the Eskimo gods have walked with me and they have said that I smoke the peace pipe with Fishboyin which I refused. I futher want to say to you and your families that the Carp I will provide you is eatable and I have also made you all Guppy Soup which we will be eating later. Now let me get into the depth of my message. I have asked Chris to sanction the takeover of the Berring Sea in which we have asked Jake, Captain Keith, Sig and the Hillstands to assist us in our ruthless take over. I have instructed Chris to go stay with Sig on the Northwestern and gather intelligence in which we can use against Fishboy.
Chris the adolesent that he is has agreed to catch the first Catamaran out of Cabo and head for the Northwest. But Kids, let me clarify the message I am sent with Chris to relay to Sig! and here is that message: Dark days are wondering and I have had a bad stomache today, Yes its Sad but in our political gains with the MMM I offer this olive branch to the gods of the Southwest and Northwest.I have been to Goobers home and we discussed Aunt Bee and she told Goober that JC was a fraud of bibical proportions, and yes it did hurt my feelings but I picked myself up and decided to make something positive out of it.Further more Goober asked that I explain my actions in the Northwest, so I repented and this is what I said: Goober I am a good soul and I ask you to cut the Cheddar chesse and walk to the river with me and there we will see the a small Eskimo lady they call Bruce? Bruce did tell us, tha as the tulips were blooming, she was walking and she ended up in Walmart and there she decided to do the Texas Two Step in the cookie isle at exactly the point of where the Fig Newtons were and she indicacted this was her sign from the Gods to leave the area immediatly and go to Mcdonalds and order a quarter pounder with cheese and a order of fries. Bruce said it was there in Mcconalds where she got her gudience to walk to the nearest pharmicy and ask for Dale.
As Bruce the Eskimo women stood at the counter in the Pharmecy she looked into Dales eyes and said: Yes, its me Bruce, and I have a message from JC and she readith the message which said: " The dog is running from kitties that lurk amongest the pine cones of the large glacier some where past the tree that the dog relieved himself upon, walk 10 steps to the north and scream and sing this song from Willie Nelson "WHISKY RIVER TAKE MY MIND" after you sing this song, run for the near by swamp in which you will find the Guist brothers and tell Mitchell you need Sigs phone number. Call Sig and tell him the Rooster has landed and the Bluegills are hitting redworms. With that message Sig will give you instructions on what to do next?
Kids thats all I can say now till next week when we actually tell you what this message really means. Good night and godbless you. Chris get on the Catamaran now and leave. Get out of my site and walk in grace. Goodnite and Love JC
The Legends and Lies of JC Continue Next Week

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: Hot, Hot and Hotter: Yea, that’s the way it's been over this past week as it feels like September now, because it is September. All year has been really un normally hot with day time temperatures up to around 100 degrees every day with a little breeze at night to cool stuff off, but in general Hot and Humid, so if you are coming to Cabo prepare yourself for some hot days cause it has really set in.

WATER: Hasn’t changed much in over a week the warm water is here to stay awhile and it feels like a bathtub if you spend time in it. The temps I noticed on the Tempbreak map was 82 to 88 degrees, which is pretty warm all over. If we could get some decent weather I think the fishing would be off the hook. Please check out the Tempbreak map link below to get a good idea on water temperatures.

BILLFISH: Big Blue Marlin being caught with one guy landing a 320lb Blue Marlin in a Panga. The year the Sailfish has also been pretty hot at the 95 spot and in that area. It seems that ballyhoo and live bait are landing the Sailfish and we think the fact that we have extremely warm water in the area is bringing in the Sailfish. The Sailfish have been here a lot longer this year due to warmer water in our area. The Striped Marlin fishing is good also with most fleet boats hooking a couple a day. So if your into Marlin and possibly a Blue Marlin now is the time to come to Cabo and we expect it to remain good as long as warm water is here until December.

DORADO: The Dorado has been really good lately with lots of 25lb to 40lbs coming in to the docks about everyday. Well, its about time we have had some steady Dorado action because we had 2 down years and were scared they wouldn’t show this year, but it looks as there are here in abundance and we are happy about that for sure. If you want to go out for Dorado now is the time to book a trip and get out there. The Dorado are sure bring some nice fish cook outs and BBQ,s to life and we really appreciate.

SWORDFISH: Hasn't heard of any caught this week.

WAHOO: Some nice Wahoo have been landed over the last week and inshore action for them has been good. Try and stay closer to shore on the Pacific side past the Light House up to Margarita area..

TUNA: Good Tuna action this past week with plenty of football size fish being caught and even some big toads that tipped the scales at 140lbs to 180lbs. Inshore action for Tuna has been good also and it seems the fish are hitting king busters big time. A couple miles off of Margarita down to the Light House and Pump House area has been another good are for the Tuna. Heck, grab a Panga and do some inshore angling for Tuna as they are inshore also in abundance.

INSHORE: The inshore action due to dirty water hasn’t been very good ever since tropical storm Lydia and lately with Hurricane Norma spinning by it has been one big washing machine out there.

JC,s Baja Shrimp Ceviche!!
INGREDIENTS

· 2 quarts water
· 1/4 cup kosher salt
CEVICHE
· 1 pound raw shrimp (21-25 per pound), peeled and deveined
· Juice of 2 lemons
· Juice of 2 limes
· Juice of 2 oranges
· 1 cup diced seeded peeled cucumber (1/4-inch dice)
· 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
· 2 serrano chiles, seeded and finely chopped
· 1 cup diced seeded tomato
· 1 avocado, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
· 1 tablespoon roughly chopped cilantro leaves, plus more leaves for garnish
· 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
· 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

PREPARATION
1. Combine water and 1/4 cup salt in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Add shrimp and immediately turn off the heat. Let the shrimp sit until just cooked through, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board until cool enough to handle, about 10 minutes.
2. Chop the shrimp into 1/2-inch pieces and place in a medium nonreactive bowl (see Tip). Add lemon, lime and orange juice. Stir in cucumber, onion and chiles. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
3. Stir tomato, avocado, chopped cilantro, oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt into the shrimp mixture. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with cilantro leaves, if desired.
TIPS & NOTES
· Make Ahead Tip: Prepare through Step 2 and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
· Kitchen Tip: A nonreactive bowl or pan—stainless-steel, enamel-coated or glass—is necessary when cooking with acidic foods, such as lemon, to prevent the food from reacting with the pan. Reactive pans, such as aluminum and cast-iron, can impart an off color and/or off flavor.

JC,s Shrimp Stir Fry!!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 large zucchini, diced
2 large ears of corn, kernels removed
3/4 cup red grape tomatoes, sliced in half lengthwise
3/4 cup yellow grape tomatoes, sliced in half lengthwise
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
12 to 18 fresh basil leaves, cut in chiffonade
Parmesan shavings
Juice of 1 lemon
Rice or pasta

Directions
Watch how to make this recipe
Melt the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and garlic, then saute until the shrimp are opaque, about 3 minutes. Remove the shrimp to a plate.

Increase the heat to high, then throw in the zucchini. Stir it around for about 45 seconds, then scoot the zucchini to the edges of the pan. Throw in the corn and cook it for a minute, then push it to the edges of the pan. Throw in the grape tomatoes, stir them around for a minute, then sprinkle on some salt and pepper to taste.

Then throw the shrimp back in. Stir everything around for about 45 seconds, or until it's all combined and hot. Then pour it onto a big platter.

Sprinkle on the fresh basil and some Parmesan shavings then ... this is the best part ... squeeze the lemon all over the top. This adds a wonderful, indescribable freshness.

You can serve this with rice, with pasta or it's just perfect on its own

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report.
