Trout fishing the Boise
#1
I'm transplanting myself out to Boise for 4 days again this October as my teaching job allows me a long weekend and the chance to get out of Minnesota for some fish that I don't see much of here. In the last 3 years I've had 3 day trips of 128, 52 and 68 trout but have not caught a cutthroat yet. I was told that the Boise has them and that the Payette has them, but I have not seen any of them. I'm also looking for a new stretch or two to hit up anywhere within an hour of Boise - if anyone has info their willing to share, or would like to get out for a long walk this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday (October 18, 19 or 20th) shoot me a PM on here or an email saschreiberii at g mail. Would love to add a cutthroat to my species list and, hopefully a bunch of bows and maybe a few browns. Thanks!

I think you'd be hard pressed to catch a cutty within an hour drive of Boise. I can't think of a single place where you'd have a decent chance of catching one that fills that criteria.
