CJ strike bass 04/29/19
#1
Just want to give a short report went bass fishing on CJ a few days ago and the bass seem to be up and doing very well the big females still seem like they're full of eggs so the spawn is going to be happening pretty soon with a few seeming spawened out probably caught 35 or 40 with a couple real nice four close to five pounders. Most where caught with a 1/8 chartreuse jig head with two and a half inch berkley gulp on the back and a weighed wack rig. Still waiting on the spawning crappie to hit the bank any one have an idea when they will be up in that shallows ? I don't really like fighting the guys in the narrows for suspended fish. Thanks guys and remember.
Go fishing when you can because it's good for ya !!!

Great detailed report, thanks for sharing it with us. What was the water temps? From my experience male crappie start moving toward the shore, when the water temps are a sustained 60 degrees and the spawn with the female moving in starts around 64 degrees. When the temps are going up and down and do not stay at 60 degrees or more it will delay the spawn.
