Okay here we go - I will give this new beast a trial run with a post
Cookie and I hit Hyrum, what seems like months ago, but was only a few days back.
Ice was in great shape despite Cookie yelping frequently about it cracking under her feet. For use we fished the south shore starting from the Dam and working towards the first point/cove. It was a bit slow for a couple hours until we started drilling deeper. Once we started a line out to 50ft we started marking and catching. About 10 AM the bite really heated up and the little lady was on them nonstop. I was too, but she would not take time to film me (honest I was catching - you will have to see the video exchange on the matter)
At 50 ft we were dropping chartreuse Ratfinkies and the normal assortment of ice flies and tungsten jigs. Did not notice a better color, but the biggest perch were on the ratfinlkie at 54ft. Had a few chase up better than 10ft off the bottom to grab a bite. That was fun to watch on the Deeper Chirp unit. Oh ya the jigs all tipped with Spikes. No bass or trout on that run.

Headed to the Gorge Saturday to meet up with Family for some pup control work. Better dig out the bigger rods. These ultralight panfish ice rods are a hoot but not enough backbone to play on the Gorge
We still have a night crappie run at Pineview to do, but will have to wait till mid next week.
glad to be back and hear how you all are doing
Oh and the new site wont let you drop a photo in unless its file size is pretty small (500 kb)

Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew
