This function does NOT spell check when I type. I have enabled it several times and it does not work as labeled. And it most certainly doesn't stay enabled; it has to be enabled every time I open BFT. The only thing that seems to work when I click on the 'Enable SCAYT' button is it turns on all of the options to click on in the dropdown menu. And all of those options only open up a Spell Check As You Type window with 4 tabs to choose from (Options, Languages, Dictionaries, About). Whoopee!
The only way to check spelling is to type it all out, click on the spell check button above, and click on the 'Check Spelling' option at the bottom of the dropdown menu. It's a real PITA to do something that SHOULD BE an automatic function by default. At the very least, it should highlight the words it thinks are spelled wrong to allow you to correct those mistakes. The free WebSpellChecker being used here is worth what it costs - it's worthless.
