My sister is in town and wants to go ice fishing for the first time. She was asking about, Strawberry, but I haven't read any recent reports about the slush conditions. Has anyone been up recently and how is the slush? I'd be taking up the snowmobiles (without covers) and probably head out of Chicken East.

I fished it Thursday (headed out from The Ladders) and found zero slush.

I took a group there yesterday and found zero slush and the ice to be 21 inches. If you get off the beatin path, the snow can be tough to walk in. Snowmobile gets around just fine.
