First Time on Strawberry Ice
#1

Went icefishing with my wife on saturday for the first time (besides once as a little kid). We hit strawberry. Weren't in a big hurry so got there around 1pm and got set up by around 2pm. We were the goofs pulling all our gear on kids sleds. Were on the Soldier Creek side and started in about 30 ft of water with no luck. Around 3ish we moved to about 12 or 15 feet of water (no fishfinder, just a weight and a tape measurer) We were able to end with 2 fish, a nice bow and a nice cut and a couple other bites and it was a absolute blast fighting those guys on an ice rod.
Made the completely stupid mistake of leaving the auger on its side so the trip will be pretty price when we tack on the vet bill, I will never forget to cap the blades again though! First time ice fishing but definely not last, to bad ice season is going to be winding down though.
https://i.ibb.co/KLJhkJK/IMG-2928.jpg

https://i.ibb.co/tZXfVPM/IMG-2985.jpg

https://i.ibb.co/LPYd2K0/IMG-1876.jpg

https://i.ibb.co/xGmtd9d/IMG-1878.jpg

Glad to hear you got out and sorry to hear about the mishap with (I assume) your dog and your auger. Not sure what all of the extra verbiage is at the end of your report.

I was heading down for a week long trip to, Boulder, and had a dog step on a random piece of gutter.... Deep cut his paw/pad on one foot. It was bad enough to where he needed a vet, and I stopped the vacation short. There aren't any vets very close in that area. I wasn't aware at the time, but dogs can bleed out through their feet.
Some things you can never really expect, especially if there is a dog involved, or a horse......

Do you know wat mistake I made when try to post the pics and how I can fix it. Yeah, I would never think my dog would think it is a good idea to step on this swirly, skinny, uneven thing, but of course he did. I should have known he would too, he is a complete bafoon!
