Willard Saturday
#1
I hit Willard for the second time this spring. The water temp was 51-55 where we fished. We trolled around to no avail so we tried throwing some plastics. I managed one SMB that was pretty decent size. No more bites on the rocks so we figured we'd try our hand at the crappie. We went over to the north marina and I got my first crappie of the 2020 season. All in all it was a great day to get out. The fishing isn't hot yet, but I suspect it'll really get going soon.

That big Smile says it all, glad to hear the fishing is starting to heat up. We were out there Saturday just paddling the kayaks around without dropping a line. Saw more than a few anglers fishing the shoreline of the N marina and Pelican beach, I didn't see a lot of catching. Talked to one group that caught a channel cat and saw another group pull in a carp.
