Flaming Gorge trollin
#1
I went to the Gorge a couple of weeks ago with my family to troll around in the boat, targeting a couple different species.  We caught a couple of nice rainbows, with one being about 20- 21 inches long and 2-3 pounds. We also caught a couple kokanee. Then we finally caugh  a lake trout that was more than the 2 pounders we were catching and keeping, it was still only six or seven pounds but it was my biggest to date! We caught it closer to antelope and by keeping the down rigger ball a couple feet off the bottom at all time, a hard task to accomplish without snagging the bottom 24/7 and pop gear with a big squid tipped with sucker meat. It was a lot of fun and here is the video!
