Quality Kokanee @ Strawberry
#1
Took a 2-day trip to Strawberry, camping overnight Friday night. Started on Soldier Creek mid-day Friday and picked up one nice Koke and a few planter Cutts. Wind came up, so we headed to our camp and made dinner. An evening trip on the main lakeĀ produced some nice Cutts, but no Kokes. Because the main marina looked like it was going to be a zoo Saturday (full campgrounds and a steady stream of boats getting hauled in), we hit Soldier Creek Saturday again at 6:15am and started catching some very nice Kokanee. Not super fast, but steady action. We ended our morning with 6 and turned back (LDR) several others. Weather was greatĀ and wind stayed down all morning. Fish were primarily 35-55 feet down. Must be the thermocline down there.

Good job, and nice pics....sounds like 2 fun days on the water...what more could you ask for? Any particular lure or color work best for you?
