The walleye in my avatar was caught not far from where you caught yours, it was 28" and weighed 8 lbs.
I was talking to a warden last fall and he said that the walleye started to show up 3 years ago after heavy January rains swelled the river.

Lots of people have found that the lower Bear river have a good population of eyes. They have been in there for many many years but they really started doing good when the shad escaped from Willard and found their way into the lower Bear river system. Nice eye you have there, were you using bait to catch it?
