Willard North pond filling & South channel gate

Got up to Willard yesterday for a drive by inspection of the new pond there by the North marina. It is starting to fill and from this pic you can see where the structure will be when it is full. Not the best pic, just a cell phone pic but hopefully you can get the idea.


Continued down to the South marina and I noticed they are rebuilding the gate right above the baffles.

When I talked to the Park manager this Summer he said everything that Willard has in it, maybe even some trout. He said they would let it fill this Winter, then stock it with perch and I think crappie in the Spring before they spawn and not plant any predator fish until the Fall at the earliest, they may even wait until the following year to stock the eyes and wipers.
