Good to post. You are getting a great mix of species.

Shawn, I've been thinking of doing that for the last two years. Keep me in mind if you want some company next year.
The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

Hey I'm not very smart about identifying species, so I'm probably wrong, but is that one you called a shiner really a shad?  Is that a dot on it's side?  Just curious...Jeff

Yes it is sort of shameful to post fish that size, but eh, oh well.
Jeff, I’m no expert either. Certain it’s not a shad, fairly confident it’s a spottail shiner.

I've caught shiners at Willard as well.  Definitely a shiner and not a gizzard shad.

Thanks guys I didn't mean to cause any issues, I was really just curious... I haven't caught an actual shiner before, but caught fatheads that I called shiners.... good to know what they look like and better to know it's not a shad, so if I get some I'll keep them for bait.. when I seen the dot, I thought it might be shad (are shad more flat bodied and less torpedo shaped?)... Thanks Jeff
