I took my son to Willard on Friday we were on the water at 7:30am and the water temp was 58 degrees. We jumped out to the west dike and started trolling rapalas and no takers. So we started casting the dike with jigs and caught a couple of smallies. Headed into the North marina by the p and called it a day. The water temp was 60 by the time we left.

Sounds like a tough day on the water, at least you found a couple of willing smallies. How long were they? That 60 degree water temp mark is usually when things start to turn on, so it should not be long now.

Lots of people on Willard yesterday. I did not see a lot of catching other than the bucket brigade in the north marina
