Strawberry - Ist Kokes
#1
Took my daughter and two grandsons up to the Berry Saturday to chase Kokanee for the first trip of the season. On the water at 8 a.m. on the SC side. Catching was slow except for a few willing Cutthroat. Moved locations to spot I know produces, and we hooked into a couple of Kokanee right away. One was smaller around 16 in and one was this beastly Buck that my grandson landed. He was thrilled having never caught a fish this big. Just Rainbows and Cutts after that and we left by 1 p.m. Looks like the season is just getting started. Big dodgers & Sling blades with various squids seemed to be the ticket.
