Another EC Day 11-28-2021
#1
Got another trip in. Weather has been holding and the decision was to take advantage of it. I left at 0730 with my neighbor and was on the water a little after 0830. There was only one other boat there but another 3-4 showed up as morning progressed. Fished out in the main channel staying out away from shoreline as bottom terrain constantly changes. Water temp was at 45°, the fish were playing but bite was very light with near nonexistent indication. Some were dragged along for quite a ways. We ended up with 3 descent size bows in the box but released about 2doz of smaller size. By 1230 wind started picking up which a crosswind at the launch made a bit of a challenge trailering the boat.

Nice going Roger, sounds like you and your neighbor had a good day of it at EC. Pretty amazing the water temp is still that warm this time of the year. Has the water level come up much since you last trip there?

Water level seems to be holding about the same.

Did you catch most of the trout near the surface or deeper?

We set our depths mostly around 15-20’. But we also went deeper at times to 30’ fow not to go deeper because of the changing bottom in areas. No matter what depth fish were marked in they would be willing targets
