6/6 Willard Quickie
#1
Ran out to Willard with my daughter and neighbor boy. We got on the water a little after noon and fished until 3:30. We ran out to the light pole from the south Marina, boy is it shallow at the mouth of the harbor<3’. We pulled 2 bottom bouncers with worm harness and 2 cranks. hooked 5 eyes and a foot long perch on the bouncers, and a 24” wiper on a silver lipless crank going 1.9-2.2mph zig zagged from 50yds off the rocks to 400yds out and back making S turns the whole way.lost 2 eyes and the perch with the kids on the net and rod, biggest eye was 24”, wish could have stayed longer we fished during the slow part the day and still kept busy the bite is on.

Nice 'eye.  My largest this year was 22".  I wonder if BB produces bigger fish than trolling cranks.  I haven't bottom bounced in maybe 20 years, I converted to trolling crankbaits because of Tom Pettingill's influence before he retired.  I'll be heading up tomorrow afternoon because I love fishing in the evening.  Also, I don't get up early unless there's no other option. Blush
Single main, no kicker. Wink
