WHITE LAKE PRESERVE FISHING LOTTERY APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
White Lake Preservation, Inc. Is accepting applications for an experimental lottery drawing which would award fishing permits for $20 to fish in the Florence Canal and Oil Field Location canals off of the Florence Canal ONLY. There will be no fishing in any of the marsh areas or in the main camp canal or other areas that are marked "NO FISHING." All boats will be limited to a maximum of 25 horsepower motor. Additional rules and regulations are outlined as an attachment to the application.
A total of 25 permits will be issued for fishing from May 31, 2003 through August 3, 2003. Applications should be sent along with a $5 application fee to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Attention: White Lake Fishing, P.O. Box 98000, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. Permit applications must be received in Room 461 of the Wildlife and Fisheries Office Building in Baton Rouge by close of business May 9, 2003.The application and rules and regulations may be downloaded from the LDWF website at [url "http://www.wlf.state.la.us/"][#800080]www.wlf.state.la.us[/#800080][/url].
