COMMERCIAL FISHING LICENSES TO BE AVAILABLE IN BOURG
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Licensing Section will again set up shop at its satellite office in Bourg to offer commercial fishing licenses. LDWF representatives will be on-hand from April 20 through April 22. The majority of commercial licenses will be available. The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. each morning and close at 3:30 p.m. each afternoon.
LDWF has been making regular trips to this coastal community since January of 2002. It has proven to be an easier way for commercial fishermen to keep their important licenses current.Fishermen are reminded that at the Bourg office, only cashier's checks and money orders will be accepted. No credit cards or personal checks will be taken. Those purchasing licenses are asked to bring their renewal notices with them.
