Marsh Lake (North Slope Uintas)

Directions - From Mountain View, Wyoming. Go south
from Mountain View on the paved road towards Robertson
(not towards Lonetree). At the second 90o bend to the
west (about 5 miles from Mountain View), leave the
highway, continuing south on a gravel road that becomes
FS-072. Marsh Lake is 4 miles south of the Wyoming State Line.

Fish Species - Rainbow & Albino Rainbow Trout.

Other Wildlife - Mule Deer, Elk, Moose, Snowshoe Hare, and a lot of others.

Tactics - Worm & marshmellow is good, also powerbait and salmon eggs. small flies, and spinners. There are a lot of freshwater shrimp in this lake, if you can catch a couple use them.

Elevation - 9,335 Feet
Surface Area - 38 Acres
Maximum Depth - 35 Feet
Average Depth - 15 Feet

Other Info - The lake offers fishing, boating and some
solitude. The water is too cold for most swimmers.
Fishing is popular, and small boats can be carried in from
the road. Fish kills can and do occur here, the DWR stocks the lake anualluy but if you aren't catching anything try Stateline Res. or one of the other lakes nearby or the river. Marsh Lake Campground has drinking water and pit outhouses.
There are also a few other campgrounds, lakes, and the East Fork Smith Fork river in the vicinity. Please keep these mountains beautiful and don't litter!

Uintas Warning! The bugs can get bad in the uintas, insect repellent is a must (just don't get it on you bait or line). Also it rains almost every day in the uintas, bring raingear.
