LOUISIANA FISHING EXPEDITIONS: Saturday's Report

Non-stop action for Burt, Lawrence and Louie. It was a little rough but with my privateer boat everyone was comfortable fishing.

The day started off with a few trout in the four pound range but the action was a little slow. I made one move and the big bite was on. Everyone was hooking up with reds going anywhere from 10 to 40 pounds. Every now and then someone would catch a big trout.

All the fish were caught either on live fin fish or crabs. Burt and Lawrence, and Burt's son fished with me last year and they are all from Belgium.

Last year they caught plenty of trout so this year Burt's better half had an order in for redfish. This trio was fighting with redfish the entire day. Someone always had a hook up.

After loosing the first 5 fish I started to get away from the structure I was next to so they could handle these fish a little better. They were using light tackle and after they caught on no one lost a fish.

At 12:00 everyone's muscles were tired so we came in. It is always nice to have repeat business and everyone leaves with happy Smiles and hand shakes.

Yesterday (Sunday) I had to cancel because of the weather. My customers drove in from Texas to fish with me but they are returning. I can't remember miss reading the weather that bad before as I usually can let my customers know before they travel that far.

I am running a special right now 4 or more customers and you can sleep free at the Pelican Roost. I have a few days open in the middle of the weeks in August and the trout and redfish action should remain fantastic.

(Toll Free) 1-877-2059
(Local) 985-893-0180
