We headed up to Deep Creek Sat. Boy what a day. The lake was full and the weather was beautiful. To make it just a perfect day was the fish were biting. We were trolling arould the lake with pop gear and a worm to start off with. We couldnt keep them off. Then switched to just trolling flat fish. It didnt matter what color they were but they just hammered them. It was alot of fun. It really didnt matter what part of the lake we were on it seemed we were always in fish. if we went more that five or ten minutes with out a bite or a fish on then we through something else in and bang. Im guessing they had just planted the lake. The fish seemed really healthy. The ones we ate were nice and pink. The sizes ranged from 12 inches to 16, 17 inches. Boy were they fighters they would jump straight out of the water and give you a run for your money. I hope the fishing stays hot through out the year. Its nice to have the water back and some good places to go to.
