Big Sandy Crappie Report June 9 2001
#1
The Water level is 362 with the water temperature around 74 to 76 deg. The crappie were stacked on the ledges Saturday in 14 to 18’ of Water. I boat 27 crappie topped by a 1.6 and a 1.4. All of the crappie were caught with baits around a foot off the bottom. Try moving around by slow trolling jigs or minnows over various depths of water and structure till you find a pattern. Also try vertically fishing your baits very still over deep structure. Best baits for Saturday was TeeZur Candy Blue head with a Blue and white skirt a TeeZur Candy Green with a orange/Chart Skirt, and Teezur Hot Head Pearl with Purple Chart skirt. Make sure to book your Guide trips this fall so you want miss out on some of the best fishing of the year, Please be courteous to others and play it safe while on the water. Take a Kid fishing with you next time and have a Blast.
