East Canyon Report 1-24
#1
Made another trip to East Canyon today with live4fish and another buddy . It was a spectacular day if you dont mind catching all the 8-12" trout you want . We iced about 50 of the small buggers in 22-34 ft of water . We fished at the state park straight out of the boat ramp just past the bouys. we did manage to catch 1 nice bow about 19" but that was it for size. We fished with finkies and ratso's tiped with waxies and millies.

How was the ice out past the bouys by the ramp? Could you tell if it was looking wet or soft? 2 weeks ago it was open. I can't believe you found the little guys. All we have caught this year were nice 15"-18" bows. Oh well the big ones gotta start somewhere at least you didn't get skunked.

the ice was alittle slushy on top but still 6" . this was the first trip that we didn't get into the larger fish . We usually fish at taylor hollow but it has slowed down .
