Went to East Canyon on Sat. for free fishing day. Four of us fished from the shore from 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm . Only caught 2 nice bows and one 6 inch smallie between all of us, and only saw two other fish caught. We were at south end where the river comes in and threw out everything in the tackle box at them. Being free fishing day it wasn't crowded at all. I was surprised more people weren't up there. It was a great day for fishing , just not catching. We went home on the road between East Canyon and Jeremy Ranch and were compensated from slow fishing with having deer and elk running in front of us on the road.
