Boise in July
#1
Taking the folks up to Boise for a Family Reunion. Not real familiar with Boise seeings how it has been many years since I was last there.
The reunion will be at the Municiple Park. I need a good camp ground real close. Full hook-ups would be a must.
By the river would be Fantastic!
Can anyone help me on this?

That's going to be tough. Most of the RV parks in Boise have been turned into subdivisions or condos. The KOA here is a dump. Let me do some checking around and see if I can locate something.

OK, try this one: http://www.ontheriverrvpark.com/

It is by the fairgrounds and real close to the river if not on it. About 5 miles driving distance to Municipal park. They do get a lot of racehorse owners in there so availability might be iffy. The river in that area gets a lot of fishing and is open enough that flyfishing is good. Access via the Greenbelt is easy. There is also a small pond nearby that I've been threatening to put my floattube on. I have caught some nice fish from the bank there.

If you search for rv parks boise idaho you will get a few more parks that are farther out and away from the river. They are decent parks, but this one seems to have more of what you are looking for.

Did some more reading. On the River has some pretty bad reviews so maybe not to be recommended. Hi Valley has good reviews but is kind of out of the way and the closest river access would be at Glenwood St. or Eagle Rd. http://www.grapevine7.com/hivalley.htm

If you pull up Fiesta RV park, it is one that is now apartments.

Hope this helps some.

I haven't driven past it, but I was told the Americana facility is currently a condo development. Not so?? If it is still there, it would be ideal.
