Lake Granby Report
#1
The fishing at Granby was great. No big mac's but we caught enough little Mack's to keep us away from Mcdonolds. The biggest was 21" 4lbs. We caught all of them trolling.Tried jigging for a couple hours. I wanted to try just using scent jellys and Nitro gravy but I think sucker meat would of been better this weekend. I was skunked jigging. The fish we caught Saturday hit both flatlines and on the downrigger. 16 in all 1 koke 1 brown the rest mack's in the 2-3lbs range. Sunday morning we could only catch them on the downrigger around 35'. 11 fish sunday all Mack's in the 2lbs range. Most of the fish were caught in 75-105' of water. Fished some shallow flats but did alot better deeper. The lake is a little low but it is filling a foot a day they say. Here's a few pic's

Sounds like fun! If you don't mind me asking how deep of water were you fishing?

It was a blast. Thanks for the reply. We tried shallow 10'- 30' of water thinking the Mack's might be shallow this early but nothing. So we went 30'-60' and it was slow so we eased out deeper and started hooking fish. We seen a lot more fish in about 100' of water so we stayed out there fishing about 30' down. When we fished deeper than 40' the fishing got slow. So 30'-35' was the best in around 100' of water. Do you plan on going up any time soon.

Thanks, I don't know if it will be soon but if I get a chance to get up there with my boat I would like to try to fish for some Lake Trout.
