Strawberry 5-17 (Report)
#1
I took my brother-in-law ,his two kids and my 4 yr old daughter to the berry this afternoon. We got to the lake at 2:00pm and launched at the Marina. It was overcast and rain clouds were pushing in all over. We were able to make one trolling pass over to Haws point. We did catch 2 cuts on a downrigger 27 ft down on a William's dartee spoon. The temp was 43 degrees. The kids fell asleep on the ride back back to the dock. The waves and chop was so bad that we suspending fishing and worked on keeping the kids dry. I guess for 45 minutes of fishing 2 fish is not bad. I had visions of the Old Coot and trying to get our boat out in those waves, but it did work out and it started to rain when we got in the SUV.

Where did everyone else fish today?
