Took my future brother in law out for the 1st time today we had a good time but fishing was slow but did have some quality fish.. Caught 7 fish and all 7 were keepers think thats a 1st for me.. Best 5 would have been 13-14 lbs no big fish but all solid 2 1/2 to 3 lb fish. Started off throw a secret spook type bait over the grass and had 2 viscous hits and then nailed a 3rd keeper with a football jig just deadsticking it in the grass.. Adam hooked up once on a senko then had a huge blowup on a spook that snapped his line and the spook went with the fish.. Around 8 we moved deep and runned and gunned rest of the day and hit mostly deep areas with a few grassy areas along the way.. Deep fish came on watermelon/red crig lizards.. Fished from Harrison Bay to Sale Creek so we covered a lot of ground.. Around 2 the wind and the idiot boaters were out in full force and we called it a day.. Ended the day on the spot I waxed them Wednesday and they were there again as i caught 2 solid keepers but with the wind it was near impossible to stay on such a small area.. Im convinved if i had an anchor we could have really wore em out.. Might have to buy one haha. Adam struggled with deep fishing as he learned to fish in tidal/brackish water in NC but he will get the hang off it soon enough.. Was a tough day to learn with wind and waves.. I guess if my sister going get married at least it is to a guy who likes to fish emoLaugh All in all not a bad trip catching 7 quality keepers..
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341.../fish4.jpg
