two things come to mind..
first, it is very common for people who participate in any activity where there is repetitive motion have similar type of pain.. for exampe people who are employed where they use computers a lot report similar type pain (carpal tunnel).. its the repetitive motion that causes the pain.. correct?
second, there is no comparison with fly fishermen and other types of fishing (spinning, bait casting).. I would find a comparative study interesting.. the reason I say this is I think I had more pain in my shoulder and elbow when I was using a spinning rig than I do with fly fishing.. granted, I dont fish near as often as the ones in the survey do..and as often as many on this forum do.. so I would not be a good candidate for this survey..
I am interested to see comments on this one.. :-)
